NDW21 (Nieuwe Dukenburgseweg 21) is the new city neighbourhood in Nijmegen's Winkelsteeg district where you can live, do business and meet up. A neighbourhood where everyone is welcome and where people keep an eye out for each other. Housing corporations Talis, Woonwaarts, Portaal and SSH& are working on some 500 flexible, sustainable and temporary homes, which will be given a new use after twenty years.
Start rental of friends' houses
From next week, we will start renting out Urban. We will do this in phases. First, we will rent out fifteen houses to groups of three friends. Five ads will be placed on the website: one ad for each set of three houses. The pre-selection is based on a draw. After the draw, the winners send in a motivation letter and the requested documents, followed by an intake interview. Is it a match? Then we will sign a rental agreement.
We are renting out these first homes in this way because NDW21 is a neighbourhood under construction, in a developing area. We want to build a community from the beginning. So we ask the groups of friends to play an active role in this. They will be there to welcome the rest of the tenants to the building and to the neighbourhood.
Renting out of the remainder of the studios
Once the first fifteen properties have been allocated, we will advertise the remaining studios and select tenants by drawing lots. We will advertise these properties on
