NDW21

NDW21 is the new neighbourhood in the Winkelsteeg area (Nijmegen) where SSH&, together with housing associations Talis, Portaal and Woonwaarts, has realised 500 "temporary" homes.

There are 7 buildings in this neighbourhood. In one of the buildings SSH& houses students. It is called Urban and contains 79 studios of 20m2. After fifteen to twenty years, all units will be put to a new use.

We allocate studios via our usual draw. You will find advertisements of Urban between our available rooms. The properties in the other buildings on NDW21 are all advertised on www.entree.nu.

Living in an area in development

NDW21 is the first project within the development of the Winkelsteeg area. The period that people live here, various (building) developments will take place around NDW21: Winkelsteeg will gradually change into a lively area where living, working and recreation come together. To turn NDW21 into a neighbourhood where people look out for each other, we invest in good public space and in community building. Neighbourhood manager Mirjam and other welfare organisations play an important role in this. At the entrance of the neighbourhood, you find HEEM. HEEM serves as a creative and natural breeding ground where meeting and connecting are central. This will also be a place for students to study with others, grab a coffee or engage in activities.
